Here are a set of guidelines which we hope you will agree to, and all adhere to. These have been drawn up to help show fairness to all the members and help with consistency in all the tough decisions that have to be made from time to time.
  1. The Nazeing Hackers Golf Society will be run for the benefit and enjoyment of its members.

  2. The rules of golf will always apply.

  3. You must putt out at all times.

  4. The Captain will tee off first.

  5. The current society shirt should be worn. Failure will result in a £5 fine and that member will be asked to play in the last 4 ball.

  6. A player achieving a hole-in-one, will receive all the prize money set aside for par 3s for that event.

  7. CANCELLED EVENTS. If an event is started and abandoned before all players can complete the course, or on arrival at the venue, then all those that attend will receive 30pts. If an event is cancelled before the booked day then we will count 4 from 7 scores towards the Order of Merit table.

  8. The Order of Merit winner will receive a free place at our Captains/Presidents day.

  9. Order of Merit places will be determined on countback of qualifying scores, scored at events in the following order.
    1. Hackers Cup
    2. Summer Cup
    3. Captains Trophy
    4. Presidents Trophy
    5. Jackpot Cup
    6. Challenge Trophy
    7. Brightside Trophy
    8. Rose Bowl

  10. Our Ryder Cup teams will be taken from the first 24 players available, as listed in the Order of Merit, and, all those that make the team will be expected to attend the evening function.

  11. HANDICAPS. The Hackers will run its own handicapping system which will be similar to CONGU regulations.

  12. ON THE COURSE. Your playing partners are your referees on the course, and every effort should be made to resolve infringements immediately before the next hole. If this is not possible, then 2 balls should be played to complete the hole, and it will then be dealt with by the Rules Committee who will do their utmost to come to a correct decision, but will have the right to change that decision should new information become available. If a person is not made aware of a possible rule infringement at the time, then the committee will consider that no infringement took place.
